As some of you may know, I am starting a new position as Executive Pastor at Hope City Church in Harrisonville, MO (30 min south of Kansas City). I am excited for the new challenge and look forward to working with an incredible team under the leadership of Pastor Chad Fagerland.

However, now comes the reality of leaving our beloved house, Arizona friends and comfortable  lifestyle.

Hard!

Did we make the right choice? Did we really hear God? Am I too old? Too young? All these doubts now bombarding me. This is the time when I have to go back to the basics, back to trusting in Jesus, depending on Him…totally!

Change can be exciting in ministry and life, but there are always two sides to every decision. You give up to go up! It’s not always just the upside, there is a cost that we all have to pay to go up. I remember when the Lord told me to give up playing the piano on Sunday mornings. I had already given up worship leading, but now had to give up the piano. It was tough. I love being a part of the worship team. But, in order for our church to become all that God had for it, I had to give up to go up. And the fruit came…but every week I still missed it, it never went away.

Remember, ministry always has a cost, but for souls saved from hell it’s worth it.

Keep changing!!

Love you heaps,
